In 1997 The Fines Creek Community Association (FCCA) negotiated two, 20 year, back to back leases on the campus buildings and grounds to provide a community center for Fines Creek Community Association.  This community center was intended to improve the Quality of Life by serving the communities in the Fines Creek School District of Haywood County, which consisted of the Fines Creek, White Oak and Panther Creek Communities.
 
The effort to establish and maintain a Community Center is in middle stages of converting the Fines Creek School Campus to the Fines Creek Community Center. We have a five to ten year plan for the renovation of the buildings and grounds.
